2025 Registration opening soon!
Records and information management, or “records management,” is so much more than “filing.” It serves a vital administrative function by supporting and promoting management accountability, compliance, and effectiveness. Business records are essential assets and they can protect an organization from litigation or expose it to litigation. Are you primarily responsible for handling records management at your local government? Be sure to sign up for the Records and Information Management Fundamentals On-Demand Course!
Taken in tandem with the FOI Fundamentals and Privacy Fundamentals courses, this self-paced course will help you understand both the importance of good records management in your organization and your role and the roles of others in ensuring that business records are managed effectively. Course participants will also learn more about in-depth reference tools for records management, such as the LGMA Records and Information Management Manual, and have an opportunity to attend a live “Ask the Experts” panel as part of the course.
Course Format: This 3-module online course is self-paced, or on-demand, meaning you can work your way through the content at your own pace, at any time. Each module contains key information, knowledge checks, and best practice approaches compiled by the FOI/RM Advisory Committee and reviewed by leading subject matter experts to ensure an engaging, relevant learning experience. Self-paced learning will be complemented by an “Ask the Experts” Panel held virtually on November 5, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $350 LGMA member; $425 Non-member + GST
